5 days
It has been 5 days since Min left for China and I am still adjusting. My first weekend alone in about a year and a half and I'll have to find things to do. Family visits should play a role.
My Dad usually comes to town on Saturdays and I'm expecting tomorrow to be typical. The drive from Lake Cowichan to Nanaimo takes him about an hour but he still seems to enjoy it, some weeks completing it a few times.
Sunday will probably see me visiting my brother Vince and Linda his partner in Crofton. Crofton is a bit down the coast from Nanaimo, just north of Duncan. Crofton is a quiet town, a mill town, but one you won't drive through by accident. It is off of the beaten track but still a pretty place. He has a computer that needs to be toyed with. I'll probably see about bringing it home to work on it.
I'm anticipating that the weekend will be more difficult without Min here then the weekdays have been - and trust me - I miss her dearly. But during the week work encompasses a good part of my day and with the Olympics on it doesn't leave a lot of time to get bored.
Min and I normally went for walks or did things together each day, but the weekend found us together nearly the entire time. For the first time in a while I'm looking forward to Monday. I'm sure that I'll do fine though. Chatting will her on the phone tomorrow will help.
I am hoping that her family is all doing well and that her visit is steadily improving. Her first few days home were quite stressful. I'm expecting the sun to shine here for the next 2 days and hopefully the sun shines on her as well.
